I echo the other user reviews. This is a labour of love for local resident David and shared use between the Bruce Trail and other private land owners (thank you to those!). I’m not sure how long it’s been around, but when the conditions are right, (and the Hockleycrest blog provides daily updates during the winter season in detail), this is an amazing place to XC ski. Again this is just for classic technique and the trails in a few places can be tight, but they are quite varied and there are many scenic locations. As others have said and Hockleycrest clearly states, this area is for Intermediate and above skiers. Bring along your camera because there are a few places that offer beautiful vistas for some great snaps. Highly suggest supporting the Bruce Trail, Conservancy and continued access to this free natural wonder. A ribbon of wilderness, for everyone, for ever.
