Like Capreol this trail system offers classic only skiing. The narrow trails remind me of the trails I used to ski in the early 1970's. There is a feeling of being part of the landscape when skiing narrow trails. However, the trails have been designed for safety with straight runouts for all the major hills. BioSki is located in a lowland area with some uplands which provide the hills. It requires a good hard freeze early in the season to make sure the low mashy sections are well frozen. Once that occurs the snow accumulates on top of a solid frozen base. Prolonged thaws can be a problem and the BioSki club is working hard to reroute trails onto higher ground where possible. When conditions are right and for the most part they are, this is a unique and very pleasant place to ski.
