One of my favourite trail systems for XC skiing. I’ve been here since I was a kid. When you combine all the loops, you can easily get over 30km in – a great workout and lots of time nature bathing. Trail grooming has been pretty good the past few years. I can only recall one day where it was a little iffy – they should have gone out again after a fresh snow.

Considering how much they charge, trail maintenance should be a higher priority but I understand a staffer was ill that week. That happens. I usually tackle all the loops in one day – makes for a nice day in the woods. It’s far enough from civilization that you rarely see anyone else. Be mindful of the trail crossings where the snowmobile trails and XC trails intersect. There is plenty of signage to warn you both. Sledders are usually really good about letting you cross first.
